Let’s talk about my newest jewelry crush designer Jacquie Aiche‘s collection of ear jackets - 14k gold earring backings, studded with pavé diamonds and that fan out just below the ear lobe. Absolutely brilliant!!! Raised by dichotomy, in a multi-cultural home with both Egyptian and American Indian parents, Jacquie’s distinctive style was born. It is the unlikely combination of these two richly storied heritages that creates her signature aesthetic. The merging of Native American turquoise relics, fossils and precious gemstones, with the Middle Eastern influences of hammered gold, amulets and goddess imagery, is what drives Jacquie’s design philosophy. I absolutely love the idea of mixing and matching them with individual studs, making them more or less dramatic. The precious ear jackets can run up to $3,000 but Jacquie has a less expensive, gold plated version available at Shopbop. Obsession is an understatement. I give you our new Gillty Must!
